Hoshino Gakki Co., Ltd. has acquired our group company, Hoshino Gakki Mfg. Co., Ltd., the TAMA Drum factory in Japan. The acquisition is completed and we have started as one entity effective since July 1st, 2009.

Following the May 22nd Centenary Party, we hosted a celebratory event "Hyakunen no Kodo, The Pulse Behind The music for 100 Years Day 1/Day 2" was held over the next two days at Zepp Nagoya. The event, hosted by Hoshino Gakki, was open to all comers. The Hoshino Gakki motto is "The contribution to the music culture" and the event was a chance for us to show our gratitude to all the musicians out there who perform on Ibanez guitars and TAMA drums, and to everyone who loves listening to music.

To mark the centenary, on May 22nd, 2008, a party was held at the club Zepp Nagoya to show our deep gratitude to all the people who continue to support the company in its 100th year. Guangzhou Hoshino Gakki Mfg. Co., Ltd. started production of drums on January 29, 2004(to be fully operational in late February). This is the first overseas plant owned by the Hoshino Gakki Group and is the 6th company of the group following Serlui B.V., a musical instrument sales company in the Netherlands acquired in 2002.

In April 2003, Europe Representative Office (opened in 1999) has moved from Frankfurt in Germany to Uithoorn in Holland. New office is inside the office of Serlui B.V., sales company of musical instruments in Holland that has joined in the group company of Hoshino Gakki in 2002.

Korea Representative Office of the Hoshino Gakki Co., Ltd. opened at Incheon, Korea in October 2002. Our activities in this office will include the inspection of the goods to be shipped from the Korean factory and other activities to improve the quality. All Korea-made products to be shipped to Japan are inspected in Korea and some to be shipped to other foreign countries are also inspected here.

A restaurant opened in December 2001 at the Cleveland Hopkins International Airport in Ohio, U.S.A. This restaurant was designed in cooperation with our group company, HOSHINO (U.S.A.) and the museum "Rock N' Roll Hall of Fame" in Cleveland that exhibits the showpieces of the various rock stars.

This award is presented to the enterprise that has achieved good results in the technological development and innovation of the management, targeting the enterprises whose capital or amount of the investment is 300 million yen or less. It is categorized to a national prize, a district prize, a special prize and a technology development prize. Our company is one of two companies throughout Japan that had won a national prize this year.
